ETHANOL: AN EASY FUEL

In the emerging era, our generation has become technology oriented. Everyone wants sophisticated and comfortable life-style.  As the resources forms the basis of implementation of any technology so it is necessary to keep a watch on availability of same.
The various non-renewable resources like coal, petroleum etc. are on the extent of diminishing. So, the need of the hour is to make advancements in the field of green technology. During, the last two decades green technologies have arisen in an effort to minimize the damage to the environment.

Ethanol is domestically produced hence, a renewable transportation fuel. Whether used in low proportion, depending on geography and season. Ethanol helps to reduce the amount of imported oil and greenhouse gas emissions.
A gallon of ethanol contains less energy than a gallon of gasoline. The result is lower fuel economy than a gallon of gasoline. The amount of energy difference varies depending on the blend. However, because ethanol is a high-octane fuel, it offers increased vehicle power and performance.

ETHANOL TO NATURE:

Ethanol production provides employment opportunities in rural areas.
The released carbon dioxide (CO2) is balanced by the CO2 captured when the crops are grown to make ethanol.
This property makes ethanol appealing over petroleum, which is produced by the dead and decay plants consuming millions of years ago.

On a life cycle analysis basis, corn-based ethanol production and use reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 52% compared to gasoline production and use. Cellulosic ethanol use could reduce greenhouse gas by as much as 86%.

 EASY AND AFFORDABLE STORAGE:

The ethanol can be stored and dispensed using the same equipment that is used for storing gasoline with modifications to some materials.
All equipment used in the handling, storing, and dispensing of these blends must be designed specifically for such use.

Flexible-Fuel Vehicles (which can operate on E85, gasoline, or any blend of the two) are available nationwide as standard equipment with no incremental costs, making them an affordable alternative fuel vehicle option.....
